This person would join the SPS professional team and would be responsible for the creation of a membership recruitment and retention strategy in a way that builds the culture of engaged SPS members and facilitates a growing culture of giving. Working closely w/other SPS professionals, this person would find also ways to reach out to the larger community, bring people in through meaningful Jewish moments, immersive experiences, and innovative programming.
As the person responsible for community advancement through fundraising (in conjunction with the Executive Director and the Consultant for Institutional Advancement), this individual would oversee our annual gala, work hand in hand with the senior lay and professional leadership on annual and capital giving, and take part in working on grants that involve programming and membership growth.
This position is about building connections, increasing member engagement, and creating a feeling of belonging to our Jewish home. This individual will help promote the ‘mitzvot of membership’, where congregants feel a sense of belonging to the synagogue, and in turn want to give back to and engage with the community.
