The second in a series of lectures by Rabbi Miles Cohen called From Sinai to the Synagogue: Transmitting Jewish Values Through the Rituals of the Torah Service.  The lecture series is sponsored by the Fox family in memory of Beverly Fried Fox z"l.

Beverly Fox z"l was an educator and artist. She co-founded an egalitarian independent minyan in Chicago in 1981, and worked at the Solomon Schechter schools of Chicagoland for eighteen years, where she eventually became the Vice Principal of the middle school. A graduate of the Day School Leadership Training Institute atJTS, she was committed to high quality Jewish education. She was also a proficient calligrapher and artist, creating ketubot and other works of Judaica. She was married for 31 years, and had three daughters (two of whom have been gabbais at Kehilat Hadar). She passed away in September of 2008.
