Kehilat Hadar Bat Mitzvah Celebration

April 5, 2014 - 9:30am

Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan, at 805 Columbus Ave at 100th

Please join us for a very special Shabbat program on Saturday, April 5 (Parshat Metzora) for spirited davening, catered lunch, and a learning program. That Shabbat will not only celebrate our Kehilah's Bat Mitzvah, but will also kick-off a special year of programming.

  • At Shabbat morning services, we'll be using a special melody for Ein Keloheinu in Hebrew and Ladino that was used at Hadar's first meeting in 2001.  An audio clip is attached, and the Ladino lyrics may be found here.
  • Register for Lunch here by Monday March 31. The registration deadline has passed, but we may still have a few spaces available. Register for the waitlist here, and you'll be notified if you've received a spot so that you can complete your registration & payment. Please note that we cannot offer refunds for any fees paid for this event.
Cost is $12 for adults and $5 for children ages 3-12.
  • Following lunch, Adam Levine will teach a session entitled "Is a Weasel a Prophet? Humor in the Talmud." Adam has been part of the Hadar community since 2005. He served as a gabbai and a shamash from 2006-2010 and studied Talmud at Yeshivat Hadar during its inaugural summer. Adam is currently an assistant professor of mathematics at Princeton University.
