Food for Thought Kiddush-Time Shiur

April 16, 2016 - 12:00pm

Solomon Schechter School of Manhattan, at 805 Columbus Ave at 100th

Join us for a brief shiur during the end of kiddush. Rabbi Ashira Konigsburg will teach. This year, the Conservative Movement's CJLS recently approved two teshuvot allowing Ashkenazim in the US to eat kitniyot (legumes) on Pesach. We'll take a look at the justifications for these decisions and discuss some practical implications of this controversial ruling. All in under 20 minutes! This brief shiur will overlap the end of kiddush, so there’ll be plenty of time to nosh, chat, learn, and still make it to lunch on time.
