Join us on Simchat Torah morning for an extended family tefilah service with special Simchat Torah fun, including a craft project to make flags and Torahs and a socially distant parade! Please bring paper towel rolls, stickers, and construction paper for the craft.
Registration is required. Register by 2PM on Thursday to request a place. On Friday morning, all registrants will receive an email indicating whether or not we have space for them to attend. If you need the registration form, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
10:30 - 10:45 - Tot Tefillah (morning prayers and songs)
10:45 - 11:15 - Kids make their own Torahs, Flags (some supplies provided)
11:15 - 11:35 - Hakafot (see details below)
11:35 - 11:45 - Storytime
11:45 - 12:00 - Ending prayers, kiddush and snack
Families should please bring the following:
1. Blanket/chairs to set up 6 feet apart from other families
2. Paper towel rolls, construction paper, stickers
3. A SONG to sing - Each family will get a chance to sing a song for one of the Hakafot. If there is a song that you would like to sing, great! If you can't think of a song, we'll have some simple Hebrew songs you can choose from. The kids can dance with the new Torahs they just made and the adults and older kids can sing.
4. Grape juice and snacks (no food will be provided, and food should not be shared with other families.)
This tot tefilah is geared toward kids under 5 with an accompanying adult, but all ages are welcome. Please bring your own grape juice, snack, a plush Torah (if you have), and a picnic blanket to set up at least 6 feet away from other families.
