Services will be immediately followed by a Lunch & Learn entitled, "Dis-Closure of the Face: Revelations of Torah, Self, and Other in Jewish-Palestinian Peace-Building and in Life." It will be led by Rabbi Melissa Weintraub, who currently serves as the Founding Co-Executive Director of Encounter, an organization creating breakthroughs in understanding between Jews and Palestinians as well as within the Jewish community  The Lunch & Learn will include a dairy, potluck lunch, and sign up is required.  Please click on the following link to sign up:

Kehilat Hadar Book Club, Monday, June 8

Join us for our last session before summer! Our book club is expanding its repertoire beyond Israeli authors to include exciting new works of Jewish fiction. Join us for Dara Horn's "The World to Come," an exciting story about a Chagall art heist. Come explore the contemporary Jewish literary scene in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. No prior experience necessary!

Ta'anit Bechorot Siyyum


April 8, 2009 - 7:00am

Hadar will be co-sponsoring a siyyum with Shaare Zedek (212 West 93rd Street) for Ta'anit Bechorot (fast of the firstborn), on Wednesday, April 8th at 7:00 am. Please join us for Shacharit, followed by the siyyum. Meir Schecter will teach us as he completes the Talmudic tractate of Kiddushin. The siyyum will be followed by a bagel breakfast - your last opportunity to eat hametz before Pesach! There is a suggested donation of $5 per person. Firstborns and all others are welcome!
