Simchat Torah Morning Services

Date:

October 22, 2019 - 9:00am

Location:

Ansche Chesed Synagogue, Hirsch Hall (Downstairs*), 251 W. 100th Street at West End Avenue

Join us for spirited Simchat Torah morning services! There will be lots of dancing and ruach (spirit), and everyone will have the opportunity to get an aliyah to the Torah. Last call for aliyot will take place at 11:30 AM.

This year we will have a few siddurim available but no humashim. Please bring your own humash if you have one.

On Simchat Torah, we will be honoring three community leaders who continue to serve the community with distinction and dedication:

  • Aaron Saiger, Chatan Torah
  • Lanni Solochek, Kallat Bereshit
  • Hilana Ezekiel, Kallat Maftir
Aaron is one of our community’s core Torah leyners and regularly steps up to read lengthy parshiyot whenever needed. Lanni is a member of the Board and was our first Secretary, after previously serving on the Kiddush Team. Hilana serves on the Shamash team, coordinates community meals, and runs our Friday evening service program.

We hope you will join us in celebrating their contributions to the community! To make a donation in their honor please visit kehilathadar.org/donate.

*The elevator at Ansche Chesed is currently out of service and will not be fixed in time for yom tov. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Feel free to ask one of our greeters downstairs if you need assistance (including help carrying strollers down).
