Our wonderful community functions owing of the contributions of dedicated volunteers. We hope you will join us!

June 15, 2024 marked Kehilat Hadar and Shaare Zedek's final meeting at Schechter Manhattan, its location of the past 13.5 years. Stay tuned for exciting announcements about our future services location! Please check our calendar, sign up for our community WhatsApp, and join our mailing list (scroll down the right-hand menu on this page for instructions).

Below are some suggested ways you can participate. Or, let us know what interests you by emailing contact@kehilathadar.org, and we will be in touch.

• Help organize Friday night services 
• Greet at the entrance to Shabbat morning services and welcome new faces
• Come at the beginning of services to ensure we have a minyan 
• Lead services, read Torah or haftarah, or give a d'var Torah
• Come early to set up for big programs like our Purim and Tisha B’Av services or stay late to help clean up 
• Sponsor kiddush or scotch (partial and co-sponsorships welcome!)
• Organize community programming (meals, learning, social justice programs)
• Volunteer to help clean up kiddush 
• Sign up to host someone new for a Shabbat meal
• Help a neighbor find the right page during services
• Support community members' lifecycle events 
• Tell a friend about us, or better yet, bring them with you to our services or programs!
